Awards
Since 2018 we have entered a couple of cider competitions each year. These are often held at large agricultural shows around the country. Below are some of the successes we have had with our various ciders and Real Wiltshire Apple Juice, not least, recently winning BEST IN SHOW at the Royal Cornwall Show in June 2023.
Modern British Cider - written by Gabe Cook and commissioned by CAMRA.
This book celebrates British cider making by identifying the different types of cider maker, their even greater range of ciders and discusses, in an even-handed way, important topical cider related issues that concern producers and drinkers of cider alike. As Gabe Cook says "there is a cider for everyone" and on page 254 of his book he described one of our bottled dry still ciders as being "smoother than a teflon coated ferret, this cider glides through pallet, slowly increasing in weight and texture, dropping grenades of orange peel and liquorish along the way"
Roger was warm and welcoming and very knowledgeable about his cider. He explained all the options available to purchase then was able to tailor the cider to our liking. The cider itself was great and would highly recommend a visit to support a local craft cider.
Looking forward to being able to visit when we can see the orchard and taste test the ciders!
